Chinese Rooster Ink & Color Painting - Chinese ink and color painting on paper depicting a resting rooster, early 21st century. Reminiscent of works by artist Chen Dayun (Chinese, 1912-2001) who was best known for his expressive paintings of roosters. Ink signed and with a red chop seal mark along the lower left. Inked inscription along the right side. Sight; height: 17 3/4 in x width: 12 1/2 in. Framed; height: 19 3/4 in x width: 14 1/2 in x depth: 1 in. Condition: The colors are bold and deep. There are no visible tears or losses. There are several creases, including a few deep creases along the lower right quadrant. Undulation to the sheet. Small, scattered areas of foxing and soiling. There are a few scattered, light graphite accretions. Framed under plexiglass. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
