Chinese Hen & Rooster Ink Painting - Chinese ink and color painting on paper depicting a curious hen and rooster, early 21st century. Reminiscent of works by artist Chen Dayun (Chinese, 1912-2001) who was best known for his expressive paintings of roosters. Ink signed and with a red chop seal mark along the lower right. Inked inscription along the upper left. Sight; height: 13 in x width: 17 3/4 in. Framed; height: 15 in x width: 19 3/4 in x depth: 1 in. Condition: The colors are bold and deep. There are no visible tears or losses. There are scattered creases, including a deep crease along the lower right quadrant. Undulation to the sheet. Very light foxing. There are a few scattered graphite accretions. Framed under plexiglass. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
