19th c. Chinese Qing Blue-Ground Child's Robe - Chinese Qing dynasty child's jifu (chifu) or formal court robe, 19th century. Featuring a deep blue silk ground with intricate metallic gold or couched thread embroidery depicting dragons, clouds, and lishui waves Length: 34 in x shoulder-to-shoulder: 20 in x chest: 18 in x sleeve: 19 in. Condition: There are small to large-sized breaks and losses to the embroidery throughout, especially along the skirt and sleeves. There are large areas of shattering to the silk along the shoulders. There is a repaired tear along the lower right quadrant of the robe, visible upon close inspection. Light soiling along the nape of the neck.
