Chinese Qing Embroidered Silk 5th Rank Buzi Badge - Chinese Qing dynasty Mandarin square embroidered silk civil official's rank badge (buzi), Guangxu period, ca. 1875-1908. Depicting a pheasant, indicating fifth rank, amid blue clouds and within an auspicious shou symbol and bat border. Height: 11 3/4 in x width: 12 1/4 in. Condition: The colors are slightly faded. A few loose threads, though none severe. Light wear along the stitching where the two sides of the badge were joined.
