Tibetan Leather & Pigment Coffer Chest - Tibetan leather-wrapped coffer, document box, or chest decorated with pigment depicting geometric motifs, ca. late 18th-19th century. With a wax export seal along the lid and paper label along the interior. Height: 8 in x width: 10 1/4 in x depth: 6 1/4 in. Condition: Wear commensurate with age and material. There is a deep crease to the leather along the lid. There are several cracks to the hide along the corners and extreme edges. Toning to hide. Losses to the pigment throughout. Some scuffs along the extreme edges. Light soiling along the interior.
