Salvador Dali ”L'Atavisme” Lithograph - Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989). Lithograph with engraving print on paper titled ”L'Atavisme Desoxyribonucleique, ” also titled ”Les Montres Molles Demi Sommeil” from the ”Les diners de Gala” series. Depicting a Surrealist, dreamlike feast featuring anthropomorphized food and phantasmagoric creatures. Pencil signed along the lower right; numbered 321/395 along the lower left. With a Certificate of Authenticity pasted along the verso from Collier Art Corporation. Reference: Field 77-5-L. Sight; height: 21 3/4 in x width: 29 in. Framed; height: 30 in x width: 37 in x depth: 1 1/2 in. Condition: There are no tears or losses. Undulation to the sheet. The work is slightly askew within the frame; the work is not centered horizontally. A few small frits along the lower edge of the sheet, where the sheet meets the mat. Floated in frame under an acidic mat. Portions of the lower edge of the sheet rest atop the mat. Framed under plexiglass. Light wear to the plexiglass, including accretions. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
