Salvador Dali ”King of Hearts” Lithograph - Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989). Lithograph print on Arches paper titled ”King of Hearts, ” from the ”Playing Cards” suite. Depicting a Surrealist king of hearts playing card. Pencil signed along the lower right; editioned ”E.A.” along the lower left. Pencil inscribed ”1” and ”1637” along the verso. Reference: Field 72-4-K. Provenance: Private Illinois Collection, 1993; Private Minnesota Collection. Height: 26 in x width: 19 3/4 in. Condition: There are no major tears or losses. Due to the deckled edges it is difficult to discern if there are any minute to small losses along the perimeter, however, none are visually obvious. The sheet is toned. Small area of soiling along the lower right quadrant. There are some scattered, light traces of green pigment along the margins. The work is not mated or framed.
