Dale Laun Abstract Acrylic on Canvas Painting - Dale Laun (American, 1939-2018). Acrylic on canvas painting depicting geometric motifs executed in bold pigment, resembling a collage. Provenance: By repute, from the artist's family. Dale Laun was a prolific painter whose work encompassed a diverse range of styles, including American Hard-Edge abstraction, Stuart Davis-inspired compositions, word collages, and impressionist florals. Throughout his career, however, he remained most committed to abstract painting, creating bold, vibrant compositions distinguished by dynamic color contrasts. Laun was also a close friend of renowned artist George Morrison. Morrison is widely regarded as the founding figure of Native American modernism and is among the top American abstract expressionist painters. The two artists maintained a longstanding friendship and frequently exchanged artworks. Height: 40 in x width: 16 in x depth: 1 1/2 in. Condition: There are no visible tears.
