She was notably associated with a pioneering group of women artists who played critical roles in shaping this movement including: Jay DeFeo, Helen Frankenthaler, Sonia Gechtoff, Judith Godwin, Grace Hartigan, Elaine de Kooning, Lee Krasner, Joan Mitchell, Deborah Remington, and Ethel Schwabacher. There are three minute chips to the paint along the lower right quadrant, where the paint is applied most thickly along a lavendar form. Light wear along the extreme edges. The work is not framed.
