Depicting a massive, explosive floral bouquet dominating the center of the composition rendered in dense, gestural black linework, layered with bursts of yellow, red, and blue. Featuring a figure seated at a table reading a book along the lower left. Pencil signed along the lower right; numbered 6/50 along the lower left. Published by Maeght Editeur, Paris, France. Reference: Mourlot 688. Sight; height: 26 1/2 in x width: 19 3/4 in. Framed; height: 35 3/4 in x width: 28 in x depth: 1 3/4 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. The sheet is toned evenly along the recto and appears to be unevenly along the verso. There are no visible tears, losses, or signs of repair. Light undulation to the sheet, particularly along the lower edge. Light wear to the deckled edges. Floated in frame atop a non-acidic mat. Framed under plexiglass. Light wear to the frame. Verso not inspected.
