Luis Gonzalez Palma ”Light in His Eyes” MM 2004 - Luis Gonzalez Palma (Guatemalan, b. 1957). Mixed media artwork titled ”Se Iba Apagando la Luz en su Mirada (The Light in His Eyes was Slowly Fading), ” 2004. Composed of four Kodak Kodalith and goldleaf-embedded photographs encased in resin. Depicting a sequence of two chairs as one progressively disappears into the floor. The four panels arranged along a metal display shelf. One with an inked signature along the verso; each numbered 5/15 along the verso. Provenance: Weinstein Gallery, Minneapolis, 2005; From the Estate of Gary Fink. Gary C. Fink was a collector with both a lighthearted sense of humor and a serious commitment to art. Fleabite to minute sized chips along the extreme edges of the resin. To the metal frame there are areas of tarnishing and oxidation. Light wear to the shelf, including light scratches and scuffs along the surface.
