Henry Schnakenberg Still Life Painting - Henry Schnakenberg (American, 1892-1970). Oil on canvas still life painting, circa 1928. Depicting a potted red geranium surrounded by yellow lemons atop a white tablecloth. Featuring a green wine bottle standing along the left side of the table as a soft white curtain cascades down the right side draping across the table's surface. Signed along the lower right. With two Kraushaar Galleries labels adhered along the verso. Provenance: Kraushaar Galleries, New York, NY; Flanders Contemporary Art, Minneapolis, MN, December 15, 1987; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Unframed; height: 24 1/4 in x width: 16 1/4 in. Framed; height: 28 3/4 in x width: 20 3/4 in x depth: 2 1/4 in. Condition: The painting is in good condition overall. The canvas has been relined with wax. There is one small area of touchup right below the lemon behind the pot on the right. The frame has wear.
