Depicting a grandfather giving a violin lesson to his two grandchildren in a rustic cottage interior. Signed and dated along the lower right. With a wooden plaque affixed along the lower section of the frame bearing artist's name and title. Provenance: Philip Suval, Inc., New York, NY, 1973; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Unframed; height: 6 in x width: 8 in. Framed; height: 9 1/2 in x width: 12 in x depth: 2 in. Condition: There are no visible losses. The colors are bold and bright. Due to a thickly applied varnish, it is difficult to ascertain whether there are areas of restoration or inpainting. Light wear along the extreme edges. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
