Willy R. James ”Fillette Au Chat Noir” Painting - Willy Rochat James (Swiss/French, 1920-2004). Oil on canvas painting titled ”Fillette au Chat Noir a la Fenetre, ” 20th century. Depicting a little girl standing next to her black cat as they look out the window together at the lively Parisian streets below. The streets below featuring horse-drawn carriages, families walking home, and a figure walking their dog under the orange evening sun. Signed along the lower right. Further signed and titled along the verso. With a label listing artist name, title, and medium adhered along the verso. Unframed; height: 25 1/2 in x width: 21 1/4 in. Framed; height: 32 in x width: 27 3/4 in x depth: 1 1/2 in. Condition: There are no tears, losses, or signs of restoration when inspected under UV light. Along the right side of the frame, two framing pieces have pierced through the mat. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
