Depicting the encounter between the the young shepherd, Daphnis, and the beautiful Lycenion. Signed along the lower left quadrant. With a Darvick COA pasted along the verso; COA with a Herman Darvick Official Seal blind stamp and ink signed ”Herman” along the interior of the seal. Sight; height: 12 1/2 in x width: 9 1/4 in. Framed. height: 28 in x width: 25 in x depth: 2 1/4 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no tears. Wear along the extreme left edge, including small losses. There are minute, light creases along the upper and lower left corners. The upper right corner is slightly bent and curves towards the mat. There is a minute crease along the center of the upper extreme edge. Floated in frame atop a linen mat. Framed under plexiglass. Wear to the frame, including small losses. Not inspected out of frame.
