George Morland Shipwreck Oil on Canvas Painting - George Morland (English, 1763-1804). Oil on canvas painting titled ”Shipwrecked” depicting a seaside with a passing storm and figures salvaging a shipwreck. Pencil signed along the upper stretcher bar along the verso. Sight; height: 10 1/2 in x width: 17 3/4 in. Framed; height: 16 1/2 in x width: 23 1/2 in x depth: 3 1/4 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no visible tears. There are a few losses, exposing the canvas, along the left third of the painting. There is craquelure throughout. Some areas of heavy craquelure have exposed the canvas. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
