Amalia Garcia del Moral Portrait Painting - Amalia Garcia del Moral (Spanish, 1922-1995). Oil on board portrait painting possibly titled ”Cabeza De Gitanillo (Head of Gitanillo), ” ca. 1960s. Depicting a youthful figure smoking a wooden hand pipe. Signed along the upper left. Provenance: Purchased from the artist, ca. 1960; Private Minnesota Collection. Unframed; height 13 1/4 in x width: 9 3/4 in. Framed; height: 20 1/2 in x width: 17 in x depth: 2 in. Condition: There are no signs of restoration. The colors are bold and deep. There are some small areas of flaking and craquelure along the lower left corner. Some signs of soiling to the lower and right edges of the rabbet that do not appear to affect the work. Some wear to the frame including areas of flaking to the gilt. Some wear along the extreme edges of the board, particularly to the upper left corner, visible along the verso. Not inspected out of frame.
