Old Master ”Mary & Jesus” Oil on Canvas Painting - Old Master oil on canvas painting depicting the Madonna and Christ child, Jesus. Unframed; height: 9 1/2 in x width: 7 1/2 in. Framed; height: 15 1/2 in x width: 13 in x depth: 3 in. Condition: There is craquelure throughout, especially along the figures. Stretcher bar marks are visible along the recto, primarily along the left and right sides of the canvas. There are signs of restoration visible under UV light, particularly there are scattered areas of inpainting, primarily along the female figure and the lower half of the canvas. The canvas has been relined. Some wear to the frame, including cracks and small chips to the carved elements. Soiling along the verso. A few residual paper labels affixed along the verso. Not inspected out of frame.
