Enoch Wood Staffordshire Model of Lady ca. 1800 - Enoch Wood, Staffordshire, England. Pearlware figure of a fashionable lady, ca. 1800. Modeled standing in a pink flowered dress wearing gloves and a feathered bonnet holding a small book. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 13 1/4 in x width: 5 1/4 in x depth: 5 in. Condition: There are restorations to the woman's nose, right wrist and elbow, the book in her right hand, and the flower in her left hand. To the back right side of the woman's bonnet, there are two small chips that have been painted over. There is a horizontal firing flaw along the back of the bonnet. There is small chip to the flower. Some losses to the glaze, particularly along the bottom half of the skirt. Some crazing to the glaze, particularly along the woman's neck and bonnet. Some wear to the underside, including fleabite to small sized chips.
