2 Chamberlain Worcester Models of Dogs ca. 1820-40 - Chamberlain Worcester, England. Group of two models of dogs, ca. 1820-40. Including a white poodle and a white pug. Each seated on a blue cushion with gilt trimmed base. The poodle with script mark along the underside. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Reference: Similar pug and poodle models illustrated in Dennis G. Rice, ”Dogs in English Porcelain, ” Antique Collectors' Club: England, 2002, p. 33, 45. (Each, approx.) Height: 2 3/4 in x width: 2 1/2 in x depth: 1 3/4 in. Condition: To the poodle, there is a repair to the front left leg. To each of the figurines, there are fleabite chips, primarily along high points and the footrims. Light wear to the gilt and pigment. Some wear to the undersides.
