Pr Meissen Mini Baluster Vases ca. 1730 - Meissen, Germany. Pair of miniature porcelain baluster vases, ca. 1730. Painted by I.E. Stadler with Chinoiserie figures standing on rockwork in fenced gardens with flowering Indianische Blumen. Blue crossed swords mark. With later French silver-gilt covers. Provenance: Christie's, London, ”The Nyffeler Collection of German Porcelain, ” June 9, 1986, Lot 178; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 5 in x diameter: 2 1/2 in. Condition: To each of the vases, there are no cracks. There are some losses to the gilt, particularly along the rims. A few fleabite chips along the rim. There is some tarnishing to the metal lids. Along the interior rim of the lids, there is a ring of residual adhesive. Some wear to the footrims.
