13 Pcs Chinese Qing Famille Rose Porcelain Tea Set - Set of 13 pieces of Chinese turquoise-ground famille rose porcelain tea set dishes depicting foliate and floral motifs, Qing dynasty, 20th century. Including: one teapot, one sugar bowl, five saucers, and six teacups. Each with an iron-red six-character Qianlong mark along the underside. Provenance: By repute, purchased in China, ca. 1947-1950; thence by descent. (Teapot) Height: 5 in x width: 9 3/4 in x diameter: 6 1/2 in. (Sugar bowl) Height: 4 1/4 in x width: 7 1/2 in x diameter: 5 1/4 in. (Saucers, each) Diameter: 5 3/4 in. (Teacups, each) Height: 2 1/4 in x width: 4 1/2 in x diameter: 3 1/2 in. Condition: There are small losses to the glaze. There are small, scattered firing flaws. To the teapot, there are no cracks or signs of restoration. There are two small chips along the rim; possible fleabite chips along the tip of the spout. There is a moderate chip along the rim of the lid of the teapot. To the sugar bowl, there are no cracks. There are small areas along the rim and the interior rim of the lid that fluoresce under UV light; additional small scattered areas along the footrim fluoresce under UV light. Light wear to the footrim. Some small accretions. To one of the saucers, there is hairline crack along the rim, extending downward approximately 1/2 inch. To another one of the saucers, there are two small repaired breaks along the footrim; there are possible signs of restoration to the footrim of another saucer. Fleabite to small chips along the footrims. To the teacups, there are fleabite to small chips along the footrims. Some black accretions along the undersides of pieces.
