Early Chinese 3-Leg Toad Bronze Halberd Weapon - Early Chinese bronze ji (polearm) halberd spear point or knife depicting a three-legged toad motif along the bolster. Reference: Zheng Yiwei, ”Zhong guo gu dai leng bing qi (Ancient Chinese Weapons), ” Shanghai Cultural Publishing House, 2008, pp. 22. Blade; length: 7 3/4 in. Overall, length: 13 1/2 in x width: 2 1/4 in x depth: 3/4 in. Condition: There are areas of oxidation and pitting throughout, especially along the toad and the scabbard. Some minute chips along the extreme edges of the blade. There is a loss to the base of the handle as well as a crack extending downward from the scabbard.
