Fernand Moreau for Teco Art Pottery #420 Vase - Fernand Moreau (French/American, 1853-1920) for the American Terra Cotta & Ceramic Company, Illinois, United States. Teco Prairie School art pottery earthenware vase of organic, Art Nouveau form, model no. 420, ca. 1904. Executed in the signature Teco matte green glaze. Two impressed stamp marks along the underside. Literature: Sharon S. Darling & Richard Zakin, ”Teco Art Pottery of the Prairie School, ” Pennsylvania: Erie Art Museum, 1989, p. 157. Height: 14 in x width: 6 in x depth: 5 1/4 in. Condition: There are some small areas of restoration, including a small spot of overpainting along the upper rim. Four felt tabs affixed to the underside of the vase. Light wear to the footrim.
