Florence Wales Still Life ”White Roses” Watercolor - Florence Wales (American, 19th-20th century). Still life watercolor painting depicting two white roses in a rounded vase, 1898. Signed and dated along the lower left. Florence Wales was an artist, teacher, and officer in the Handicraft Guild of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Guild was founded by a group of women interested in creating a more formal Arts & Crafts education, while maintaining the values of individual production, creativity, and efficiency.
