19th c. Laguna Pueblo Polychrome Pottery Olla Jar - Laguna Pueblo three-color polychrome pottery olla pot vessel, 19th century. Of rounded form with a delicately sloped shoulder and recessed neck. Depicting a broad painted band of undulating curvilinear motifs. Within the band, diamond devices and cross shapes alternate with organic stylized leaf or petal forms, their sweeping arcs linking the design into a continuous visual movement around the body. Height: 10 1/2 in x diameter: 12 in. Condition: Wear commensurate with age. Some crazing and scattered losses to the pigment throughout. There is a repaired horizontal crack along the shoulder and some additional signs of restoration throughout that fluoresce under UV light. Wear to the footim.
