2 Pre-Columbian Guerrero Mezcala Stone Axe Gods - Group of two Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican Mezcala culture stone axe god forms, Guerrero, southern Mexico, ca. 500-100 BCE. Each stone carving depicting an anthropomorphic deity figure characterized by ample and rounded contours. The larger form carved of an earthy, deep green stone. (Smaller) Height: 3 1/2 in x width: 2 1/2 in x depth: 2 in. (Larger) Height: 6 in x width: 2 in x depth: 1 1/4 in. Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use. There are two areas of toning and residual adhesive along the reverse of the larger stone.
