5 Inuit Ulu Knives - Group of five ulus including: One small ulu with carved organic material handle with incised circle and dot design and metal blade, on a fitted stand. One older, small ulu with organic material handle and slate blade. One small ulu with carved organic material handle in the form of a fox with steel blade, St. Lawerence Isalnd, circa 1800. One large ulu with antler handle and steel blade. One large ulu with carved organic material handle incised with fish decoration and steel blade, circa 1940. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Height ranges from 1 3/4 in to 5 1/4 in. Width ranges from 2 1/2 in to 6 in. Depth ranges from 1/2 in to 1 in. Condition: Tarnishing and wear to all the items, chip to the slate blade, break to fish handle of large ulu.
