Johnny Aculiak Carved Stone Hunter - Johnny Aculiak (Inuit (Inukjuak - Port Harrison), 1951-2008). Soapstone carving of an Inuk hunter with seal and harpoon head. Signed in syllabics with older museum labels affixed to the bottom. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Height: 7 1/2 in x width: 4in x depth: 2 1/2 in. Condition: Some discoloration and surface cracks to the stone, like original to the material.
