Andrew Noatak Carved Spirit Wheel Mask ca. 1940 - Andrew Noatak (Yupik, 1900-1990). Carved organic material spirit wheel or mask featuring central face with incised details and pigment, ca. 1940. With hand, feet, and fish forms radiating from various points along the wheel. Signed along the verso. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Height: 11 1/2 in x width: 14 in x depth: 2 1/4 in. Condition: Break to the feather stem holding each hand. Wear to the feathers and other components.
