Chukchi Chukotka Mammal Pipe ca. 1880 - Chukchi (Chukotka) carved organic material pipe in the form of a mammal, ca. 1880. With incised Cyrillic characters. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Height: 2 1/4 in x width: 9 3/4 in x depth: 1 in. Condition: To the bowl, there is a small loss along the rim. Some burnishing along the interior of the bowl, consistent with use. There is a split forming along the side of the bowl.
