David Shapiro ”Lady & Samurai 21” Mixed Media - David Shapiro (American, 1944-2014). Mixed media acrylic and gauze painting titled ”Lady and the Samurai 21,” 1987. Depicting an abstract geometric composition. The upper half of the work features an angular shape in black overlaid by a narrowly outlined red circle, while the lower half is composed of a red rectangle overlaid by a dark red square. Sight; height: 47 1/2 in x width: 24 in. Framed; height: 53 3/4 in x width: 30 3/4 in x depth: 1 1/2 in. Condition: The colors are bold and deep. Due to the irregular nature of the materials used, it is difficult to discern whether they have been compromised; however, there are no major or obvious losses or signs of restoration. Floated in frame. Framed under plexiglass. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
