Jasper Johns & Beckett ”Foirades/Fizzles” 1976 - Jasper Johns (American, b. 1930) and Samuel Beckett (Irish, 1906-1989). Collection of prints and poems titled ”Foirades/Fizzles, ” 1975-76, published 1976 by Petersburg Press (London, Paris, New York), printed by Atelier Crommelynck, Paris. Pencil signed by Johns and Beckett; numbered 105/250. Illustrated poetry with 26 lift ground aquatints and five etchings with mixed media, one soft-ground etching, and one aquatint; plus two color lithographs as endpapers. Height: 13 1/2 in x width: 10 1/4 in x depth: 2 1/2 in. Condition: There are no tears, losses, or signs of repair. There is some acidic toning to pages opposite the prints, caused by the ink used in the printing. Minute spots of foxing throughout the pages, though most are isolated and there are no large networks. Light wear to the cover and spine.
