2 Peter Lupori Pastel Drawings on Paper - Peter Lupori (American, 1918-2014). Group of two pastel on paper drawings including: One depicting three trees in a geometric style. Pencil signed and dated 2002 along the lower right. One depicting a geometric composition. Pencil signed and dated 1996 along the lower right. Peter Lupori was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and educated in Italy with John Donald and William Reed. After his military service during World War II, Lupori earned M.Ed. in art education and became an Instructor in Art at the University of Minnesota, Extension Division, and the Colleges of St. Catherine and St. Thomas in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. His work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions including the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the College of St. Catherine. Trees; height: 11 in x width; 15 in. Lines; height: 12 in x width: 18 in. Condition: Both drawings are in good condition with no tears, creases, losses, or restorations. The drawing of three trees is affixed to a paperboard backing along the center, the work is not framed; verso not inspected. The other work is not framed or affixed to a backing. There is some soiling to the verso, likely original to the artistic process.
