2 French Miniature Portrait Paintings - Group of two French miniature portraits in oval locket settings. One possibly depicting Marie Antoinette in working class clothing. The other depicting Madame de Montesson. (Young lady) Sight; height: 2 1/2 in x width: 2 1/4 in. Framed; Height: 3 1/2 in x width: 2 1/2 in x depth: 1/4 in. (Noble lady) Sight; height: 2 1/2 in x width: 2 in. Framed; height: 3 1/2 in x width: 2 1/4 in x depth: 1/4 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no large visible breaks or losses. Light wear along the extreme edges. Light wear to the frames, including tarnishing. Some wear to the velvet backing of the noble lady. To the young lady. there are signs of moisture exposure along the backing which do not appear to affect the miniature.
