17th/18th c. Chinese Silk Painting Accordion Album - Group of nine Chinese ink on silk paintings mounted as accordion book or concertina album leaves, 17th-18th century. Each painting depicting noble women and ladies in various settings including garden landscapes, interior scenes, and tea ceremonies. As the paintings progress, the women appear to age. Height: 15 in x width: 8 in x depth: 1 in. Condition: Wear commensurate with age including heavy toning, some areas of soiling, and scattered losses. Some tears and repairs to several of the paintings. There are some losses to the extreme edges of the book covers.
