Chinese Late Qing Dressing Case Mirror Stand - Chinese pierced and carved rosewood throne-form mirror stand or dressing case, late Qing dynasty. Surmounted by finely carved openwork panels depicting birds and flowers. With curving toprails terminating in dragon heads. Height: 25 in x width: 19 in x depth: 11 in. Condition: There are no major signs of restoration or repair. Slight warping to the wood. Light discoloration along the upper surface. There is an apparent break along the left, middle-tiered dragon; however the piece is able to rest securely in place. The finial is also not affixed to the body of the stand, but it rests securely atop the apex of the splat. Light tarnishing to the metal fastenings. Light wear to the feet.
