Early 20th c. Chinese Tiered Wedding Basket - Chinese stacking wedding box or three-tiered basket, early 20th century. Of square form with woven reed and carved wood. Height: 14 in x width: 9 1/2 in x depth: 10 1/2 in. Condition: There is warping to the wood and there are some areas along the edges where the warping has caused the caning to bow. Along the lowest tier, there are some splits forming in the wood. Separation to the joints throughout, especially where the caning meets the lid. There is a small loss to the carving along the basket's handle.
