Hodo Nishimura ”White Lily” Woodblock Print - Hodo Nishimura (Japanese, act. 1930s). Woodblock print on paper titled ”White Lily.” Published by Takemura Hideo with an inkstamp along the verso. Provenance: From the Collection of Ellen and Frederick Wells. Height: 16 in x width: 11 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. The sheet is lightly toned. There are no tears, losses or signs of restoration. Minute soiling, primarily along the margins. Light wear along the extreme edges including a minute chip along the right center edge. To the verso, there is a minute penciled inscription along the lower right corner and four residual pieces of framer's tape affixed to the upper edge. The work is not framed.
