Ohara Koson ”Sparrow on Wind-Chime” Woodblock - Ohara Koson (Japanese, 1877-1945). Woodblock print on paper titled ”Tree Sparrow on a Wind-chime Scarecrow.” Signature along the lower left. Provenance: From the Collection of Ellen and Frederick Wells. Height: 14 1/2 in x width: 7 3/8 in. Condition: The color are bold and bright. It appears that all but the left margin has been trimmed. There is a small loss to the upper left corner. To the verso, there is a small penciled inscription along the lower edge and two residual pieces of framer's tape affixed to the upper edge of the verso. The work is not framed.
