Toryusai Kozan Seed Pit Zodiac Ojime - Toryusai Kozan (Japanese, 1787-ca.1854). Mid-19th century Japanese carved seed pit ojime. Carved with zodiac animals with inlaid black eyes throughout. Provenance: Purchased from The Oriental Corner, California, September 14, 1995. See a very similar example at Galerie Zacke, ”Fine Netsuke & Sagemono, ” November 8, 2024, Lot 334. Height: 3/4 in x width: 1/2 in x depth: 1/2 in. Condition: There are no losses or signs of restoration. There is a hairline crack along one edge near the signature.
