Mid-19th c. Japanese Woven Metal Manju Netsuke - Mid-19th c. Japanese manju netsuke. Copper and shakudo (alloy of copper and gold) with a geometric design with thin strands of woven wires. Provenance: Purchased from Kurstin/Chappell, Minnesota, May 28, 1982. Height: 3/4 in x width: 1 1/2 in x depth: 1 1/2 in. Condition: There are no breaks or losses. Some tarnishing along the interior.
