Meiji Japanese Octagonal Satsuma Vase - Japanese octagonal satsuma ceramic vase depicting roosters and guineafowl amid a shoreline landscape, dense with blossoming flowers and bamboo, Meiji period. With two applied elephant form handles along the shoulder and bands of profuse geometric motifs along the flared neck and footrim. Partially stamped along the underside. Drilled. Height: 12 1/2 in x diameter: 5 1/2 in. Condition: The vase has been drilled. Crazing to the glaze throughout. Some dust and debris gathered along the recessed areas.
