Signed along the lower right; further signed and dated along the verso. Illegibly and faintly titled ”The [illgible] Valley” along the verso. Provenance: Beard Art Gallery, Minneapolis. Sight; height: 6 in x width: 9 in. Framed; height: 12 in x width: 15 in x depth: 1 1/2 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. The varnish is slightly toned. There is a yellow accretion along the center of the painting. A few minute chips and light wear along the edges of the painting where it meets the rabbet. Light wear to the frame.
