2 Kunisada/Toyokuni III "Junigatsu no uchi" Prints
Utagawa Kunisada/Toyokuni III (Japanese, 1786-1865). Group of two prints from the series "Junigatsu no uchi" depicting a series of quick-change dances representing the twelve months. The left print depicting Ichimura Uzaemon XII as a court lady with a basket of new leaves. The right print depicting Nakamura Utaemon IV as a court official out to pick young leaves in the new year.
Each, height: 14 5/8 in x width: 10 1/4 in.
Condition: The sheets are possibly trimmed and toned. Soiling and minute losses. Water damage along the lower right of the rightmost print. The works are not framed.
