2 Vivika Heino Studio Ceramic Lidded Bowls - Vivika Heino (American, 1910-1995). Set of two small studio ceramic lidded bowls or covered vessels depicting a painted arboreal pinecone motif along the lid, 20th century. Stoneware with a lovely speckled pale grey-green glaze. Inscribed signature along the underside of each. Vivika Heino was a renowned ceramist celebrated for her work alongside her husband, Otto Heino. Together, as ”Otto and Vivika Heino, ” they created distinctive ceramics that combined modernist forms with traditional techniques. (Each, w/ lid) height: 3 1/2 in x diameter: 4 in. Condition: There are no major cracks, losses, or restorations to the vessels. There is a minute chip along the rim of of the bowls where it comes into contact with the lid. Light wear to the footrim.
