Hans Vangso Studio Pottery Stoneware Tea Bowl - Hans Vangso (Denmark, b. 1950). Studio ceramic chawan tea bowl or footed cup vessel, 20th-21st century. Stoneware of iron-rich clay with nuka glaze; likely wood-fired, possibly salt-fired, imparting a captivating pitted texture throughout. Features wood ash along a silica-rich matte surface. Stamped along the underside. Height: 3 1/2 in x diameter: 3 1/2 in. Condition: There are no major cracks, losses, or restorations to the vessel. There is an area along the lower edge of the bowl with several firing flaws that may be original to the artistic process. Crazing throughout. Light wear to the footrim.
