Willumsen for Royal Copenhagen Ceramic Lidded Vase - Bode Willumsen (Danish, 1895-1987) for Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. Ceramic lidded bowl vase vessel with finial in the form of a mythical beast, early 20th century. Stoneware pottery with oxblood glaze. Stamped Royal Copenhagen blue wave maker's mark and signed by Willumsen along the underside; stamped 38 over 20127 below the maker's mark and incised 20127 along the footrim. Height: 7 1/4 in x diameter: 5 1/2 in. Condition: There are no chips, cracks, losses, or restorations. Some light wear where the lid meets the body of the vase. Some pooling of the glaze along the interior and the lid, where a small spot appears as a firing flaw or fleabite chip. Light wear to the footrim.
