Set 3 Starck for Michael Andersen & Son Ceramics - Marianne Starck (German-Danish, 1938-2007) for Michael Andersen & Son, Denmark. Set of three ceramic vessels including one oblong plate or platter and a pair of vases with a teak wooden display tray or shelf, mid-20th century. The vases depicting a cobalt blue, diamond form geometric motif on a grey crackle patterned ground; the tray depicting three viking figures aboard ship of blue, red, and yellow sailing across a grey crackle ground. Impressed maker's marks along the underside of each ceramic item; numbered 5876-2 along the underside of each vase and 5661-1 along the underside of the plate. (Vases, each) height: 9 in x diameter: 3 3/4 in. (Tray) height: 1 1/2 in x width: 16 1/2 in x depth: 5 1/2 in. (Wood base) height: 8 in x width: 29 in x depth: 7 in. Condition: There are no chips, cracks, losses, or restorations. Light wear to the footrims. Crazing throughout, original to the artistic process. Dust and debris gathered along the interior.
