CH Stalhane for Rorstrand Lrg Ceramic Charger Bowl - Carl-Harry Stalhane (Swedish, 1920-1990) for Rorstrand, Sweden. Large and heavy unik or unique ceramic charger plate or bowl with an unusual and decorative glaze pattern, ca. 1960s. Incised first-quality Rorstrand maker's mark, signature, and ”Sweden” along the underside; numbered 61 to the right of the maker's mark and 93 along the lower edge of the footrim, with a symbol resembling a circle with an x through it. Carl-Harry Stalhane is one of the most celebrated figures of 20th-century Swedish ceramic design. He is best known for his role as the artistic leader at Rorstrand during the 1960s. His name has become synonymous with exceptional ceramic quality, stunning creative design, and outstanding craftsmanship. Stalhane's work is represented in the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Height: 2 in x diameter: 14 in. Condition: There are no chips, cracks, losses, or restorations.
